Hi Scotty,
I bought an 2010 Lexus RX350 in October. Do I need to put premium gas in this SUV?
Thank you
Follow what the manufacturer states inside the fuel door.
Per the car's specifications, it requires Premium (91+) Octane fuel. Otherwise you risk the engine knocking and or running rough.
It's better but not needed (controversial answer). Vehicles this recent can/will adjust timing for the octane it's getting. And since it's an RX350, I don't think you're looking for every last bit of performance. With that said, I would check gas mileage with the different octane (price weighted and compare costs). Wife has 2009 RX350 and we use reg in it no problem. Great car.

Thank you all. I have heard the premium gas is not always needed and maybe an over kill.
