Hybrid fual pump kill switch

Hello,

Seeing too many cars new and old on YouTube

Getting there cruise control stuck

Was planning to hook a kill switch

To the fual pump relay...

I know it will still be rolling on electricity only

But only for shortly...

Was wandering if it will damage anything other than my car warranty...

Like engine timing chain...

Or shortage on gas tank that will send me flying.. after starting it again...

What about hooking it up to AGND wire behind the start button?

Scotty doesn't usually revisit topics he has already answered. It's likely you'll mess up that very complex hybrid electrical system trying to make modifications to it.

Was wondering since Killswitch on fuel pump relay will damage the hydraulic fuel injectors...

This is all part of your original topic about a kill switch for your hybrid. You've been here long enough to know that the forum rules prohibit posting multiple topics about the same issue. This is so we don't have to go chasing all over the board to follow it. Topics have been merged.

Also, as @justin-shepherd stated it is nonsensical in the extreme to risk dying for a danged car when someone is trying to take it from you with a weapon, and if the stupid thing won't run they're likely to kill you just to demonstrate their displeasure.

"Only an a*****e gets killed for a car."

Well, you can't mess around with the hybrid systems that way. For instance, you probably have a in-tank fuel pump and a GDI fuel pump which is the high pressure pump. On top of the engine. You can't turn the high pressure pump off cuz it's operated hydraulically off the engine. And if you shut off the intake fuel pump that would make that other pump run dry and it would damage things

@scottykilmer will
Got any suggestions to which should i wire a force turn off engine.. in case of theft or stuck speed cruise control...?

Hello,

Was wondering since Killswitch on fuel pump relay will damage the hydraulic fuel injectors...

Will it work on the starter wires?

SS1 SS2 AGND? One of them?

If so .. which one?

These are screenshots in my GoogleDrive of the wires and functions of the start switch for Toyotas

Spoiler
& maybe Hondas & Mazdas .. not sure .. based on some comments an facts around the internet...

If I understand you correctly, just remove the fuel pump relay if you're paranoid about your car being stolen. There's no need to install a kill switch to the starter. It takes two minutes and won't void you warranty if you still have one.

@justin-shepherd
I need to setup a kill switch
For car thieft under gun point or knife
Same as some of who work in my line of work have encountered...

I think you're better off letting them take your car, rather than risking your own life if you install that kill switch and they kill you out of rage because now that car won't run.

@justin-shepherd I have tracker in car And in a busy city I could simply shut the car off while they r far and in traffic jam... We drafted away from the subject 😅

@justin-shepherd
What about using these remote controlled Killswitch relays?

To what should I replace it?
Fuel pump relay?
Or is there a starter relay?
Or to the battery fingers .. either red or black...?
