  • My Toyota Camry 2006 model (Big Daddy) XLE V6 with Trip milage 156.3, an automatic transmission car is having gear slippage issues. After scanning, the codes were P0328, P0333. It also read Solenoid A is faulty. This started after a mechanic changed my gear box oil. Please, what can I do to resolve this issue as Some persons are suggesting that it is a gear box issue and the fibres are burnt and needs to be changed

possible steps should be in order to fix this problem

You'll have to rebuild/replace the tranny or just junk the whole car.

First price out what it'll cost to replace it with a junkyard / rebuilt unit (parts, labor, tax, etc.)

Do it in several places and always check if they warranty the replacement (and if the warranty includes labor)

Go to the mechanic and demand him to "fix it" (he most likely can't but maybe he'll agree to chip in)

Maybe he has connections with a junkyard and can get you a used unit for cheaper.

Well if it all happened after he changed the oil and nothing else was done. Big reason I tell people not to change fluid on high mileage vehicles unless fluid has been changed every 30 or 40,000 mi religiously

Thank you sir, for your reply, I really appreciate. It was changed out of ignorance and the damage has been done. I humbly seek your advice sir on what the possible steps should be in order to fix this problem.
