2009 impala heat only works when driving or accelerating not when idling and can get hot but blows cold as soon I start idling especially since living in ND. I had a flush but that didn’t really help much. How to narrow down the issue? Thermostat, heater core, air in system?

possibly a vacuum leak. The vent selector is vacuum actuated.
