Heater problem Highlander '04

Hi Scotty,

Got a 2004 Highlander V6 4wd with 155k miles in NYC.

I have a good honest mechanic who recently changed the cooling fluid + thermostat + waterpump. I purchased the parts so I know the thermostat is OEM as you recommend.

AC works great (before the change it was switching between hot and cold) but the heater is not working well. Even when the engine is hot the interior doesn't blow warm air consistently (mostly cold, sometimes warm even at full heat and full power). What could be the problem for the heater not working well now?

Thanks in advance for your precious help 🙂

Stan from NYC

The air was not properly burped from the system.  The heater core has air in it and cannot transmit the heated fluid through it to get you the heat transfer.
