Help my oil smells like gasoline!

Hey Scotty

I bought an Accord 2017 EXL used has 30k miles oil smells strongly like gasoline also checked tailpipe seems to have a fair bit of carbon buildup as well does also.  The smell is so strong I can smell it coming in through the vents inside the cabin at times.  I didn't notice any of this until after I had driven it for a couple of days it is "certified" and I did buy the warranty. Taking it to the stealership ASAP but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Which engine? Scotty has shown how some Honda engines (specifically their 1.5 GDI Turbo) are prone to oil dilution.

2.4L 4 -cyl Engine K24W1 also have white smoke coming out

side note any advice on how to use my warranty was told my brakes are not covered they shake when driving over 40 and stopping seem warped

Those are not known for oil dilution like the 1.5 engines but obviously if you smell gas in the oil there is a problem, probably in the direct injection system, that needs to be taken care of. Brakes are considered wear items and typically are not covered by warranty, at least not the pads and rotors. (If there were a hydraulic or ABS failure I would expect that to be covered but you need to read the fine print of your warranty contract.)

The W1 has direct injection. Yeah, have it looked at.

What’s the oil level on the dipstick?

This is the 2nd K24W1 oil dilution thread, on this forum -
