Help ! Whats wrong with my Tacoma?

Topic starter

I have 2003 V6 Tacoma I have owned 15 years.

153,000 miles

2 days ago I was driving and noticed a huge loss of power when driving down residential street. The motor was not very responsive when pressing on gas.  Next day, took a drive around block to see if the problem persisted. Didn't notice anything wrong, but it was only a few minute drive.

Drove to work that same morning (15 miles each way).

Didn't notice any issues.

Drove to store that night (last night).

Same problem  happened....motor was intermittent  on response to pressing gas pedal.

I have friend who us going to loan me a OBD sensor today and I'm going to take vehicle  to shop tomorrow.

Any ideas what this could be? Bad transmission???

Thanks

It's an automatic, by the way

It would be helpful to know if it is throwing any codes. Usually the transmission wouldn't be at fault with this low of miles. I'm guessing fuel or vacuum related.
