Hey Mr.Scott i have a 2002 Ford F150 5.4 liter 4x4 v8 with a automatic transmission. It hase 257,000 miles on it, and my goal is to restore it. It needs a number of parts, aligment, services .. Things like that. What would you reccomend startong on f...

1. Heater and AC dont work. Its blow air though.heater core?? I can smell coolant in the cab sometimes. when heater or ac is on

2. Driver side front tire wires are showing towards the inside of the tire

3. I dont know rhe history of this truck as far as services. Would you recommend a diffrential flush and transmission flush. Vechicle is at 257,000miles

4. Fuel filter, belt, o2 sensor, 

5. Im unsure about head gasket replacement. And intake manifold.

What specific order shall i go ?in or what shall start with?

It's your money, but I  think you should FIRST do some basic tests to see if it is worth restoring - a wet/dry compression check, a pressure test of the cooling system to see if there is a blown head gasket, jack up the truck and check for play in the suspension and steering. You might be better off finding another candidate for restoration and/or getting a wrecked F150 with a better engine and transmission.

He has videos showing how to do these procedures. Now, they cost like $100, but it would cost that much to have a mechanic do that - and you wouldn't have the tools to do it on the next car/replacement engine.
