08 lexus IS Rwd lite clicking from front wheel after brake job

I have a RWD auto 2008 Lexus IS 250 with around 140,000 MI and I'm getting a very lite ticking sound as if there is a card in the spokes of a bike most noticeable when going straight. This lite tick started immediately after rotor and pad replacement. The ticking increases and decreases as I speed or slow. I had it looked at yesterday by a mechanic who favors american muscle and was told its prob the CV joint but don't see any leaking grease or ripped boot or any other signs of failure around that area. Do you have any idea what else could make this noise or if it is the CV joint and there's no physical damage, is there a way for me to determine for sure that it is the CV joint? Do you have any toyota/lexus tricks to prolong it a bit as it is a costly repair if it's just to get rid of that lite ticking

First make sure about the noise sources and then decide to change parts. You said after you did the brake job, it shows up, so check the brakes first.
