What do you think about a 2008 Lincoln Mkx with over 2008 miles? Should I buy if I can get it at a good price? Should I worry about the transmission or engine with that many miles

I dunno ... this car feels lucky. The odometer matches the year.
If the miles match the year, sounds like someone screwed with the odometer.
If you mean 200,000 miles, run.
If it's over 200k miles, don't even think about buying one, they have the same engine and transmission problems as its cheaper sibling the Ford Edge.

Assuming high mileage, pass on it. Avoid any Ford product with that transverse V6 engine (FWD architecture).
