Hey Scotty , I got a 98 Grand Marquis 158k miles and I made the mistake of running it too low on oil.I can hear a metallic bang while on the gas . Would repairing this be the better option , or should I get a used motor ? P.s I bought the car for 800$

If you want to keep it, I would get an ATK or Jasper re-manufactured engine with a warranty from NAPA or some other large retail chain. If not, it's worth about $80 per ton.
