Hey Scotty question for ya - I have a 2001 Pontiac firebird trans am ram air automatic 4 speed transmission 5.7 V8 with 78000 miles my question is over time will my engine lose horse power and acceleration?? If so what can I do to help combat these problems and or fix them?

Yes, overtime all our engines can lose some power. This video by Engineering Explained covers why that’s the case:
