1994 Ford Ranger Xlt 4.0l V6 with the A4OD automatic transmission. I'm coming up on my next tranny fluid change. It originally took motorcraft mercon tranny fluid, but I'm considering switching to Penzoil platinum full synthetic high mileage. Is that OK or will that damage my tranny?

As long as it meets or exceeds the Mercon standard (M2C185-A) it should be fine.
