Engine stops while driving

I have a Honda fit 2008 that has about 140Km worth around 3k CAD.Start to have a problem, engine stops while driving. The local mechanic said that he doesn't want to start spending money on something that he is not sure about, and he charges one hour. I took it to a Honda dealer and they replaced the modular then the ignition switch (not sure if they really did) but the car getting worse , stopping after a few minutes . They charged me more than 600 CAD and then they said we need to cut and redo  the fuse box. Now it doesn't start at all. I know some mechanic said you need to change the fuel pump because it is not showing the error code when you scan. Should I continue to spend money on it to eventually sell it or just scrabble it? Thanks
