Hi everyone! I got a lot of great feedback on buying a 1979 Honda cb750 for a first bike, which I’m very grateful for. Now that it’s been established as a viable option, I wanted to ask what you thought about how I should approach the possible sale of the bike.

If you could take a minute to check out the listing and give your thoughts, I’d really appreciate it. I’ll be getting the bike inspected by a trusted mechanic of course, and if it all checks out I’d like to make a fair offer. Thanks so much!

Oh, and don’t worry about the right side panel, I’ve already found the matching part online 😂

Forget about the side panel, that's why they make PAINT.  I would buy it if it checks out, ie, compression test at the least.

Thanks! What do you think about the asking price? Should I try to get them to go lower?

Always try to get them lower.

I’m not sure if Someone has told you before or not, but that bike is a bit fast for a first bike.

Yeah I have heard it can be a bit much to handle at first. It’s definitely a bike I’d like to grow into. People have also said that it’s a good bike for learning at slower speeds, which I’ll definitely be keeping to for a while.

If you really want it, go ahead but do not pay that much money. And if you end up buying it, do not push it hard. They are fast bikes.

Thanks a lot! I’ll definitely be careful-thinking about staying within 20 miles or so of my house and keeping freeways to a minimum for the first few months after I get my license 😃
