Hey there guys!

I'll be purchasing my first car in the upcoming weeks and I've defined as the potential purchases the toyota corolla, the honda civic or honda fit. It turns out I found a 2007 Honda Fit, clean title with 61k miles on it, listed at 6100 (dealership). I'm on a budget, 6k max, and I do know is overpriced (I'm in CA which also explains) but also wondering if considering mileage is still a good deal or if I should try to find common ground and lower value. How much you think would be reasonable?

The fit is a really good car
My wife has an 09 sport 5 spd . It's got 179k , and it's been very reliable. And, from a dealer, that's not a terrible price. Miles are really good. Is it a standard?

Is an automatic... I'm not considering standards too much because I'll be driving lots and mostly in the city so that makes it more tiring. The fit seems good also for his size

They are excellent cars, especially with a manual.

Have a good mechanic check it out, before you buy it.

Negotiate HARD on the price, as best you can. Since it’s from a dealership, I doubt they go below $5000.

They are good cars but that is overpriced... by a lot. I am also in California.

For that price range I found something newer: https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-2013-honda-fit/7266146652.html

Half the age and next generation.

Remember to have a mechanic check the car out before purchase.

It's a honda.. with 61k miles. From a dealer
... It'll always be higher than it should be.. and the one you posted looks like a private sale, he probably needs to finance. I love the blue in the one you posted, hopefully they're not looking at an automatic though, they're better in a standard since its only a 1.5

Also love that color. I'll probably be paying all in cash so won't need to finance... That ones a great option.
