I have an Odessey whenever the car is cold it makes a loud ticking sound but when it's hot it goes away I need to to know what going on
Most likely timing belt tensioner.
Year and mileage?
@mrrangerzr1
2014 honda oddessy 135km
And the timing belt was never replaced? If not, get the timing belt service done ASAP, I would highly advise not driving the van due to interference engine.
Beware of counterfeit timing belt kits, use OEM parts straight from the dealership.
@mrrangerzr1
i sure will fix that
Have you checked oil levels? How many miles on the car? Anything lose in the engine bay? Is the car throwing codes? Could be a variety of things honestly, is this a recent issue? Could be anything from low oil levels to carbon to valves or more likely timing and tensioner if your car is of higher mileage.
@bruceree
I changed the oil 2 weeks ago it is a 2014 honda odyssey with 130k km the recently started to vibrate when driving and during idle probably the tensioner and engine mount
I would lean more towards tensioner and belts, still be sure to check timing as well. Engine mounts don't just randomly start to fail unless it's a benz LOL but yeah it wouldn't be a bad idea to check it while you are at it
Provide more details, if possible.
