Is the 2016 Scion im a reliable car to purchase? I know it’s horsepower is low and it’s basically just a Corolla, but I still feel like I should ask.
I was considering purchasing it.
You could start by searching this forum for "Scion" . They don't sound very good to me.

Well the whole point I commented this was to see if the Scion im was a reliable car. Based on the research I’ve done it’s really just a Corolla that was made in Japan. And Scion is just Toyota, as Scotty has previously stated
Yup, I read your question. I'm saying you should search and read what other owners are saying. To me it sounds like a rough running economy 4 banger. Scion was discontinued so it can't be that good.
If you are trying to by an older scion even being toyota I wouldn't go for it. If the price is good and a mechanic checks it out then sure why not. If anything if you could wait, get the Corolla IM instead. For some reason most people with scions I know don't really give a crap about cars so most come in with little maintenance.

Well a Scion is just a Toyota but yeah I’m definitely having a mechanic check it out before I purchase it. And a Toyota im is also what I’ll be looking at
