How to save my Honda Odyssey’s slipping transmission?

Hi. I have a Honda Odyssey 2000 with 135K miles. We got this car with 115k and since then the transmission has been slightly slipping. Transmission parts are hard to find right now. This cars transmission filter is internal so a flush is super bad to do. Do you think if I do like three drain and fills if that will help prolong the life of my transmission?

Thanks Scotty.

Scotty has mentioned on numerous occasions that those Odysseys have weak automatic transmissions.

Power flushing a transmission is a bad idea no matter what type of filter it has. As long as your fluid is not burnt or gritty it should be safe to do the drain and fill procedures but no one can guarantee the outcome. (If the fluid is really bad chances are the worn friction materials floating around in it are all that's keeping the trans working.)

Save the old fluid just in case. If slipping continues you can try some of the Lucas transmission additive but that's a temporary bandaid at best if it works at all. In any event it is probably time to start shopping for another vehicle before the transmission craters entirely.
