- Good day. How do I clean the oxgen sensor located by by the manifold. I have a 1998 Toyota Noah. A few months back, we replaced the timing belt but the car was producing white smoke soon after starting the engine. The would clear after a few minutes. However, the smoke does appear occasionally after starting the car but clears off in a few seconds. The smoke is blue in colour unlike the white smoke that was being expelled soon after the vehicle was released from the auto workshop. What do you think is the problem?

You don't. If the sensor has a problem you replace it.

White smoke that disappears as the engine warms up is usually just normal water vapor in the exhaust. It usually most prevalent in cold weather. Blue smoke is oil burning - you have worn rings, bad valve stem seals, or both.
