I have a used 2000 Buick Century (base) and the interior lights dont work when i turn the knob, the gear lights, clock, dome and rear view mirror lights only work, the interior lights turn on, on their own and then turn back off. I almost forgot to mention, the clock and gear lights are dim as well.

The dimmer switch controlling the interior gauge and dash lights has probably worn out. Not surprising on a 21 year old vehicle.
