Hello,
I am in Canada and was planning to buy a used Honda Civic. How can I check if the AC is working before buying? As now its winter and it's pretty cold here, even if the AC doesn't work it will blow cold air.

Turn on the defrost and watch the compressor clutch. If it's sufficiently charged and there's nothing wrong with the system, it should cycle on and off.

Have the car checked out by an independent mechanic who will be able to test all the vehicle systems.
