Every time I have a chance to raise up the vehicle,
I would always see a droop of clear, golden-looking oil,
staying at the bottom edge of the AC pump,
looked like some oil outlet port.
On rare occasions, I would see oil marks on the ground,
where I park my car.
That pump wasn't like some high-mileage oldies, it is still quite young.
I don't hear abnormal noises while driving high rpm with full-blasting AC.
Was that leaking or just seeping?
Shall I replace that pump?
How new is the compressor? And are you 100% sure that it is from the compressor? If the compressor is actually leaking oil, that's no good. You are gonna have to evacuate the AC to fix that issue. Though with leaking oil, tends to be you be losing refrigerant with it and not have cold air at all after a while. Would also be good to know which car this is coming from.
the compressor is less than 2-year-old
not 100%sure, but what else could the leakage come from?
i would need to refill the refrigerant once every 1 or 1.5 year
the car is Chevy Epica 2007 similar to Holden Epica or Daewoo Tosca
with U20SED engine
The pump can also probably be replaced under warrenty if it is bad. 5-10 years for most pump manufacturers.
okay, i'll be asking about how long would the warranty be
then maybe i would replace it at every circle of that time period lol
