Hello car lovers! I just bought my first car, an 05 camry xle 2.4L automatic 4 cylinder with about 141k miles on it. The hood unfortunately does not close flush on either side of the hood, although on the drivers side it is sticking up a lot more than the left side. I had a couple friends who know a little about cars but they said it might be the rubber stoppers or the headlights. We installed new headlights on it but the hood is still not flush on either side. We even twisted the hood a bit but that did nothing, we did find a dent on the right contour line of the hood. Please help me out I do not want eat the hood of my car while driving on the freeway.
Sounds like you should have had a mechanic check it out before you bought it. Probably been wrecked. If it’s latching then that is the first thing that needs to move down. And unfortunately the latches they aren’t adjustable much.
