I used kitchen scrubbing sponge to get rid of some bug flies that were on my car and I faded the paint. What can I do to bring the original color back? Thank you

you will need:
- polishing compound
- buffing pad
- elbow grease
never fails.

I used kitchen scrubbing sponge
next time try soaking it in very hot soapy water, and using a plastic scraper

For next time there is special solvent available made for removing bug residue.

When I was a teen, I did this exact thing to my dad’s car, trying to get rid of bird droppings.
I took off the clear coat along with the stains.
In my case, rubbing compound didn’t fix it..
