i, I went to a mechanic with these codes PO455, P0571, P1797, P1281. He ran a diagnostic that appeared to have 3of the 4 codes. He said awe that's not anything really going on. Pop your hood. OMG a very bad mistake. No leaks before he ran fluids out of radiator. Poured water in it and all over radiator. Then asked me to back up van ( 2009 Dodge GC, SXT V6, 124,409 miles) leaking fluids from both ends. This vehicle formally Gov. Service vehicle highly maintenance. How do I fix this mess. I'm a woman. I believe I can do this!
Put Stop Leak in it?
Check for loose hoses at bottom of radiator?
Replace radiator?
Do not double post.
Yaser, I will keep that in mind. I tried to delete the first, but no button found for that. I will not do that again. Thank you for your help.
You should find out where are the leaks. If it is from the radiator itself, you should replace it. If it is from the hoses, replace them. After replacing,l the parts, you should pressure test the system to make sure you have no leak.
Yaser, I will attempt to do that. The leaks are in front bottom on both ends of the radiator. No leaks on top from the hose nor the hose on the bottom. I appreciate your quick response. {pear}
