Humming or grinding when reversing.

Hey scotty, I got a 1999 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT 153k miles. Its starting to make a grinding/humming noise when i reverse, i have not checked my brakes yet but i have recently got them done about 5 months ago

You should pinpoint the noise first. Check the transmission first and if the noise comes from that, your reverse gear is going out.
