[Solved] 2014 Chevy Captiva HVAC problems

My wife has a 2014 Chevy Captiva Sport LS 2.4L engine with 55,000 miles. I hate chevy but I got a good deal on the car. Shortly after we got it we noticed the air would get stuck in a position (floor only, defrost only, stuff like that). The problem has gotten worse over the last 2 years we've owned it and now air only comes out of ALL vents and wont change. The heat won't work. The recirculate button will light up but doesn't work. I've removed multiple fuses trying to reset the system and have performed a "hard reset" by disconnecting the battery but nothing seems to work. I'm thinking it is either a computer problem (because all the weird stuff going on) or maybe the blend door actuator(s) have bit the dust for the temp, air flow direction, and recirculate function???

Please help I'm at my wits end!

Those stupid things notorious for having the control unit for the HVAC break I've changed out scores of them

Made sure all the lines going into the control unit were snug and it started working again! We'll see how long it last but I'm sure I'll end up replacing it eventually. Thanks for the help! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your youtube videos and now this great forum. Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Check the vacuum source and lines feeding the control. The heat causes them get brittle and break. Luckily, its often a very cheap and easy fix.
