- What is your opinion on the 2018 Elantra? They appear to have better reviews than the 2020’s.

You better off buying older Toyota or Honda with the same budget.

I would pass on it, especially if you want to keep for a very long time and put well past 100,000 miles on it. Also, if buying used the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty only applies to the original owner, so you don’t get that benefit anymore which really makes it even harder to recommend the vehicle. (For the second owner, the powertrain is covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for only 5 years/60,000 miles whichever comes first.)
