Hello, how are you doing?
I'm from Brazil and I have an automatic Hyundai HB20 that has a 1.6 Gamma Engine with 26000 miles (F4FA/F4FC) and it's making a whining noise around 1500RPM, it only happens when the car is warm. I don't have a check engine light and the car didn't lose any perfomance, this noise is going on for 8 months now. I change the oil regurlaly.
I took it to dealer because it has 5 years of warranty, they say it's a "normal" sound but it doesn't seems normal to me.
I just have a video of the noise, I know it's not much but I would like to know if someone has a clue of what's going on.

Thank you!
Well it doesn't sound too bad but it might be something inside the engine like a rolling cam do my video find me the source of car noises Scotty. A machine like that can find the source of any noise
You should pinpoint the noise source.
Remove the drive belt and see if the noise goes away.
I can maybe hear the sound of an intake leak - but it really doesn't sound like anything significant to me.
Try spraying starter fluid far from the air filter box but near to the intake manifold - if it acts up you have a leak.
It's really hard to hear in the video, but maybe you mean something like this?

old Hyundais usually run quite well even with intake manifold leaks, most other cars begin to misfire or have more apparent symptoms than just loud hissing
Thank you Yaser and Scotty!
Hey Dan, thanks for the answer! I’m going to record the engine when it’s in idle, I thought it was an intake leak. When it’s idling it sounds “normal”. I’m going to open the hood to see if the noise gets clear.
