When I used a scan tool on the truck it said lost communication with body control module
Lost communication with Powertrain control module lost communication with Engine control module could it be a bad ground somewhere it still runs and drives just when it goes in overdrive it loses power and doesn't respond to the gas pedal what can I do to fix it
I'm thinking it's the throttle body
Here is the problem if any sensor or wiring or ground on the computer system goes bad you can lose communication so my advice is to start unplugging things one at a time and when you do get communication that's the sensor or wiring that has a problem at. Good luck
Pray that it is just a ground issue. Find the ground wiring diagrams and check all the grounds.
Especially the grounding point on the frame under the driver's door.
It's unlikely that the grounds on ALL these modules failed at the same time.
Have your battery + alternator tested. Check fuses.
Other then that , the data lines between the modules may have been compromised.
