Hi from London.
I know scotty is not a big fan of Hyundai 😜. I just need A small car, cheap tax etc to teach a mate to drive from scratch then sell on...
I found a Hyundai i10 used car to buy, looks like a good example of one!
its passed all its mot/inspections
With only one advisor, no Mot fails! At all 🥲
#100k on clock
#£900 asking price
#2010
Just need it for driving lessons then will sell on...
Any information much appreciated 🙏🏽
First generation Picanto / i10 cars were rough.
Although the 1.1L is still an engine to avoid, as it seems, their worst issues were solved for the 2010 model year.
On a small Hyundai, you want a Kappa MPi engine.
Look at the comments under my answer for an owner's testimony (under the show more comments):

If you're interested in a miserable tiny city car, get the next gen is as good as they got.
Thanks, seller said car needs work and he won't entertain bringing a Macnic down.... even though the Hyundai passed all its MOT/INSPECTIONS still the seller could hide something unless I don't check properly 🤓
Just another reason to avoid it.
What do MOT inspections have to do with it? It doesn't have anything to do with reliability!
Ok thanks 😊 I ran and got a free lesson the easy way from you guys. Need ti listen to Scotty more

Run away from any deal where the seller won't let the car be examined by a mechanic.
Or even a Macnic..
Thanks
