Thinking about asking for a Toyota MR-2 Spyder for a first car. Based on my research it would be 2000-2003. I am wondering if it is a good car to buy, or if it is just too old. I want to have a car that will last a while but still be fun. I want a manual transmission and rear wheel drive would be cool. Also considering s2000 and Mazda Miata, but I am also very tall. 6'3"

I'm guessing you're around 18-20 years old? Your insurance rates will skyrocket if you buy that car. It's a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive coupe; the ultimate sporty car. Your perspective car is most likely older than you are, the oldest ones you've chosen are considered classic cars now. Pick something else until you're 25-30 years old and have an everyday driver, then you might consider that car.
