Hello, I have a friend that really wants a Hyundai Ioniq hybrid. I suggested getting a Prius instead but kept insisting on getting an Ioniq. Are they any good at all? I remember a video Scotty made that talked about how a Kia Hybrid had cheap belts and how their engines often blew.
They are okay vehicles but the Priuses are so much better it would be absurd to buy something else

Prius's are much better but tell your friend to buy one for a good price and then sell it after 5 6 years when the warranty is out. It should be fine for that period, but DO NOT KEEP IT anytime over 7 8 years that would be a large gamble.
