Hey Scotty, I know you aren't a great fan of Hyundai's but I bought a 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited 3.3L V6 back in 2014 with 50,000 mi on it. As of 7-1-2023 I now have 177,000 on it and outside of oil changes ( every 3,000 even tho they say every 5,000) one trans fluid change, brakes and tires the only major repair Ive had is a new master cyl. new Ignition coils and valve cover gaskets and serpentine belt. Still have the original timing chain, water pump, alternator and starter. Gets up to 40mpg hwy and 20 local. Paid for so wondering should I be looking to sell ? Been looking at 2015-17 Azera Limited's who seem to have a pretty high reliability from what I've read and at ths time( I know you arent a fan of the GDI engines but the 15-17's dont seem to have all the problems the 2011-14's had with seizing up. I can get one with 60-80,000 for under $16,000 what do you think ? Love your You Tube videos. Thanks.
I would definitely get rid of that Sonata now before anything else breaks at that mileage.
As far as the replacement goes, don't get another Hyundai. You'll end up with more problems down the road.

I have a friend of mine who's 2017 2.4-liter Hyundai seized up and Hyundai refused to give her a new engine even though it was still under warranty (it didn't get recalled until a year later after the damage was done). They also made her pay for a rental car out of pocket.
Don't get another Hyundai unless you can find a clean Equus as it is their flagship vehicle and that they generally don't have the problems that the lower-end Hyundais have.
