My 2014 Sonata w 116k miles just gave up the ghost, total engine failure. Before this I was burning a quart every 1k miles at least. Getting a new engine under the extended warranty. Do I run it back and try to keep the Sonata going with the excessive oil consumption hoping the replacement lasts longer than the first, or do I switch to an 07 Yaris with 130k miles, selling the Sonata for whatever I might get for it (which thankfully now is at least higher than the junk yard fee)?
