Hello Scotty,

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and I have it for 1 year I have been driving it with no problem. I left my car in the garage for 3 months with almost full gas tank for three months. When I got back the battery was empty. I jump started it and it runs good now. However, after the jump start the check engine light appeared. I read the codes and it was P0140 it said in the description O2 sensor circuit no activity. I erased the code and drove it normal for one week. Then the light appeared again with the same code. Do you think something happened to the sensors during the jumpstart? Do you think it might because of a dying battery? I am pretty sure the battery is the one they put in factory. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

If you're running on a 10-year-old battery it's way past time to replace it. (You can have it tested first if you like but a battery that old is on borrowed time.) The electronics in modern cars are sensitive to battery condition. (I'm assuming here you're talking about the 12 volt starting and accessories battery, not the hybrid battery pack. Though at 10 years old the hybrid battery is going to be suspect as well.)

Thank you so much. I guess it’s time to replace the battery then. I will replace it and see if the light comes back again. But I feel like it would solve my problems because the car runs perfectly fine ☺️
