Hey Scotty

Quick question, Is it fine if I buy a Brand New Hyundai with the Turbo GDI with the DCT(Dual clutch transmission), I need it as a cheap, knock around city car. I am planning to use it till around 60-70 thousand miles then sell it. I need to know whether if they can last atleast a 100k miles

I got my diesel toyota for all the major travelling

No. Please do not buy anything that is Hyundai, Kia or Genesis related. I know you said you weren't going to keep it forever but please save yourself by not buying one. A Hyundai Turbo GDI with a DCT is a recipe for disaster.

Well Thanks for the advice, I wanted to save some quick bucks with the Hyundai but I guess I'll try to scour the internet for good Hondas then

My Kia Optima (same car Kia version) locked up at 80,000. I changed the oil every 5,000 miles  with the proper grade synthetic. No, run away. That car is a money pit. I was always repairing something. Oh if you still insist. That car now has 20k on dealership installed engine. I'm about to sell it via online auction. WHAT A BARGAIN!
