Hi Scotty, my name is Erik and I am about to turn 16. I am getting to my surprise my parents old car and it’s a 2003 Jeep liberty sport with a 3.7 L V6 engine that runs on gas. Now, my question is, How should I take care of my car? It has 161 almost 162,000 miles on its odometer with the original OEM engine and transmission. We have this vehicle code with OBD two and it is P0605. We know the transmission is going to get replaced, but I just want your advice because you are a expert mechanic thanks!

That thing is already beyond its expected service life. You might want to reconsider the expense of installing another transmission. Down the road you may find yourself with a replacement transmission and a blown engine.
