I have a 1995 lincoln mark viii its obd1 im getting code for canister purge solenoid circuit fault. I replaced the purge valve but code is still there. I drove it enough so it should have reset by now but im still getting code 565 please help and thanks for your time.

Is the circuitry that drives the purge valve working? Some info here for F150 which should be a similar setup:
