oily coils

I have a 2005 crown Vic, P71. The coil packs have oil inside them on the driver side and it won’t go over 50 mph. Is this a head gasket issue? All spark plugs have some wetness on driver side but not on passenger side. Please help

It sounds more like a valve cover gasket leak. I supposedly have that problem with my Ford focus. Not nearly as expensive or laborious to repair as a head gasket would be. See https://youtu.be/Lfd8it-aRnE?si=Sv5lFqme_JMpsHWR

Welcome to the forum.  I agree with @darylmelvilleyahoo-com that it sounds like valve cover gasket, at least I hope that’s all it is.  Would explain oil in the spark plug holes.

Only concern is that shouldn’t cause that kind of drop off in performance, unless the electrode is submerged, maybe.  Are you getting any trouble codes?

Actually I think it is rather coolant than oil. I’m trying to see. It smelled like coolant. Would it still be the gasket cover if it was also coolant?

Nope. If it’s coolant you have more serious problems

You know what? I think it might be the intake manifold

Welcome to the forum! I don't have an answer for you but I have an 05 CVPI as well, though it runs like 💩
