89 ford ltd crown vic shutting down.

scotty, my 89 crown victoria shuts off right after turning it on. We replaced the module but its not that.

Which module? You need to be more specific. 

 

Have you replaced vacuum hoses? Anything original has long since dry rotted and the engine may not run at all because of this. Unmetered air causes too little fuel to be sprayed into the engine, assuming it is fuel injected. The injectors can't compensate for unmetered air, and, if it's bad enough, the engine cannot run. A prime suspect that would cause a massive vacuum leak is your brake booster. If the vacuum hose is dry rotted off the booster, the engine won't run. There's too massive of a vacuum leak.
