Topic starter
I bought a new battery and a new alternator, yet my car won't start. I know it is not the starter, if I jump it it starts right up.
Could it be a fuse or something like that?
Any help would be appreciated
It is a 1993 civic dx with a d15b7 engine.
Thank you!

Well think about what you're doing when you jump the car with another battery.
You're connecting the positive posts together of both batteries and you're connecting the negative posts together of both batteries.
So you're connecting 2 good batteries in "Parallel" which increases the current output while keeping the voltage output the same.
A failing starter would require more current (amperage) to turn it, and connecting the batteries that way gives it more current.
