Hi Scotty,
I have a 2003 Ford E-350 XLT Super Duty passenger van that my family uses for towing, camping and traveling. When it's cold the 5.4L engine sometimes makes a squeal or squeak sound. The sound continues when I run the engine without the belt. If I eliminate all accessories running on the belt (water pump and fan, alternator, AC, power steering pump, idle and tensioner pulleys) then it must be internal engine parts (timing chain?, main or head bearings?). The van is in great shape otherwise with 170k miles, and I plan to keep it for at least 10 years. Can you help me figure out what could make the squealy or squeaky sound so I can fix it once and for all?
I love the new website! Great job! 😎
Thanks,
Fabian
squirrels are squeaked on general air from either the automatic transmission or the torque converter both are expensive repairs you might change the filter and fluid and live with it as long as it runs
