I just bought a 2012 Toyota Prius V with 181,000 miles, from previous service records, the CVT transmission fluid was never changed, should I change the automatic transmission fluid? Do you think that this is a good idea?

I would never buy a used Prius with high mileage or any vehicle with a CVT trans. If it’s never been changed and it’s almost at 200,000 mi. You’re kind of on borrowed time. I would really baby that thing. As Scotty says, “hope you didn’t pay to much for it.”

No, leave it alone & baby the vehicle. You may open a can of worms if you mess with the transmission, now.
