If a car has antifreeze in the engine oil and one takes care and repairs the problem...would it be a good idea to put ATF in the engine to clean it out?
no
and one takes care and repairs the problem
And then create a new problem/s?
I saw in a YouTube video that is was recommended to do this. The mechanic was saying that ATF cleans impurities from antifreeze in the Engine. So therefore, I'm asking for verification.
Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.

Complete bunk.
Probably not the smartest idea. Though if it doesn’t turn over and you are on the verge between throwing it away, and/or selling it for parts. Heck why not try it. Though if it still runs and works decent enough for drivability standards than no.
Scotty, I've seen several videos that suggest that some amount of transmission fluid added to engine oil can help Clean internals of an engine and free up sticky lifters what do you think?
this was already answered a day or two ago. Please try using the search before posting a new question. Thanks.
Noted answered above for the instance that they were saying had antifreeze in the oil and asked to add trans fluid also to help clean. What about just adding as a cleaner prior to oil change. Thanks
