Since you bought it in 2019 and now it’s 2021, I would go ahead and change the engine oil and filter.

Agree with @daywalker, with those new rangers here’s what you can’t skip or wait on. Oil changes and spark plugs. Without going into it that little motor has a lot of extras in it. What you should also look at getting installed if you want this vehicle long term is called an oil catch can because of how that motor is designed the valves in the motor will gum up with carbon deposits and it’s not good. The oil catch can will help mitigate that issue.
