{black}:excitement: I have a 2016 Dodge Challenger sxt 91.000 miles on it . Brought it brand new . Well when I crank it up it acts as if it’s having a hard time trying to crank . Ots a push botton.
Once it does I hear a weird noise coming from the engine . I think it’s the alternator When I step on the gas the noise get louder When I get off the gas it goes lower . I Haven’t got a obm on it yet . The engine light came on one week and then went back off . The noise sounds like somthing clanking or somthing like a lawn mower
Well take the fan belt off if you crank it in the noise goes away you know it's something the fan belt operates and spend the alternator by hand then if it's rattling you need a new alternator. Or get along screwdriver a piece of wood put on your ear put it on the alternator and if you hear the noise when you start it you know it's the alternator
