A few months ago I moved the throttle body butterfly with my hands while cleaning it. I din't know that I was not supposed to do that. After that the idle is acting up strange. What should I do? I have a Toyota Corolla 2008. The throttle body is electronically controlled, not the wired one.
What are the "strange" symptoms?
You may have damaged the throttle body. It's probably worth trying the Toyota idle relearn procedure.
I had tried cleaning it to fix very hight start up idle (2000rpm) but it is still the same. The rpm now keeps fluctuating a little bit even after the car is warmed up. Also when I put the car in gear (with my foot still on the brake) when the rpm is still a little high after cold start there is a loud humming/buzzing noise with vibrations which goes once the rpm gets to lower/normal range or when I accelerate.
