scotty, I'm looking at buying a 2002 Ford falcon XR8 AU3 with 153,500km it have a 5.0l V8 and a 4 speed automatic transmission, it is also an ex police-car. is it worth buying?

That car is 21 years old. No, I can't see buying it at that price. $19,000 Australian Dollars = $13,000 USD.
$19,000 is a high price according to this site .
$7,250 - $9,800 Australian Dollars seems more reasonable. (after a thorough inspection by a mechanic) .

How much are they asking for it??? Mileage on used police vehicles doesn't always reflect the true "run time" such as the hours spent idling.

police cars get abused. Make sure a mechanic inspects it before buying.
